2Shores Capital is seeking a Junior Accountant to perform accounting tasks on both daily and regular basis as well as other tasks assigned by management.

This role will be reporting to the Controller. The Junior Accountant, will perform clerical and general accounting tasks for multiple entities. This position is responsible for daily accounting operations such as accounts receivable / payable, reconciliation, and preparation of journal entriesas well as routine and moderately complex accounting functions to help maintain an organized workflow. The Junior Accountant will assist with month-end close and financial reporting. In addition, this role will perform other tasks assigned by the management.

Additional tasks will include handling loan applications, servicing, co-creating and implementation of new lending processes with the management team.Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and willing to take on new challenges and consistently adapt in an evolving environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process and monitor AR/AP and accruals.

- Perform bank reconciliation and reconcile other ledger accounts as needed.

- Prepare and post journal entries.

- Reconcile monthly payroll statements

- Ensure accuracy of entries and financial transactions are properly recorded.

- Assist in monthly closing, annual budgets, audits, system implementation and controls.

- Assist with the monthly preparation of financial statements including balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows.

- Assist in analyzing costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses.

- Assist with preparation of government reporting.

- Other tasks as assigned by management.

- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

- Minimum 2 years of previous accounting work experience.

- Experience with accounting software/s is a must.

- Ability and understanding of accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.

- Analytical, problem solving, attention to details and multitasking skills.

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy for the clients.

- Operational skills, take initiatives as needed, team player and positive energy with a “get it done” attitude.

- Reliable and a self starter

- Willing to take on new roles and challenges
