The Opportunity

Moment Energy is hiring an Intermediate Accountant who will be responsible for streamlining financial processes within Moment Energy and assisting with placing orders, scheduling meetings, onboarding new employees, establishing and maintaining cultural practices, bookkeeping and issuing payroll.

We want an energetic candidate who’s excited to support our efforts in sustainable energy technology.You will support a team that is creating second-life battery systems that will be deployed in renewable energy projects across North America.

The Role

• Supporting the company by maintaining and monitoring AR/Billing/AP/GL entries to ensure the accuracy of invoices and payments.
• Start date - ASAP
• Extended Health, dental, and vision benefits plan
• Responsibilities and duties:
• All financial reporting for month-end, quarterly expenses, year-end, tax requirements, and shareholder roll-up.
• Full-time salaried position, 37.5 hours flexible work week
• Responsible for payroll and monthly PST/GST remittances and reconciliations including benefits
• $50,000 - $65,000 per year.
• Regular company socials, events
• Parent-friendly schedule
• Weekly fitness and yoga
• Administering RRSP, Benefits, EAP, and ensuring alignment with Payroll
• Sourcing and procuring office supplies

The Candidate

• Have clear communication skills.
• 1 to 3 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
• Passion for clean technology and the environment
• Experienced with Quickbooks, Xero, and Google Workspace.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Pursuing a CPA designation
• Active learner as the position requires the incumbent to grow with the company.

Interview Process

• Reference checks.
• 30-minute phone screen interview with a member of our team.
• A decision is communicated and an offer is extended.
• Virtual 60-minute values and fit interview with a co-founder.
• 1 to 2 virtual 60-minute interviews with members of our team.
