Our Kelowna construction client is expanding their team to include a Junior/Staff Accountant who is interested in an opportunity where they can get exposure to the total operations of a company.

This is an in the office position.

Responsibilities Will Include

• Working with operations on project budgets and elements of pricing
• This role will allow you to continue to develop your professional accounting skills with a great mentor and company that is poised for significant growth in the next few years.
• Assisting Controller in all aspects of the accounting function – taking responsibility for a small payroll and admin side of HR – seasonal workers on and off payroll and benefits etc.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Familiar with ERP use. Vista ERP knowledge is considered an asset.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• Valid BC Driver's license
• Experience with AP, AR and payroll processing.
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting or other related field is considered an asset
• Public practice experience is considered an asset
• Experience in Civil Construction considered an asset.
• Excellent working Knowledge of Microsoft office program suite. (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
