This Junior Accountant full-time position with strong compensation and excellent benefits could be the one for you. To succeed in this role, you are an ambitious, detail-oriented candidate who will need to handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank and general ledger reconciliations. If you have an understanding of internal reporting during the monthly close you will be preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

1.Accounts Receivable Management: responsible for invoicing, credits, debits, etc. (customer account maintenance), apply deposits, initiate collection of past due invoices, providing timely responses to customer and employee requests for information

2. Management Accounting: post journal entries and perform thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to accounts receivables, cash, prepaid expenses, depreciation schedules, fixed asset ledgers

3.Financial Reporting: carry out an assortment of basic month end and year end closing accounting tasks and adhere to internal controls in compliance with GAAP and under minimal supervision. Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required and a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Reliable and able to work in a dynamic and changing remote environment
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
• Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills
• A ccounts Receivable experience desired and knowledge of Accounts Payable
• Full ownership of work and desire to take initiative

Education and experience

Preference will be given to candidates with any of the following:

• 1-2 years of work experience in an accounting or finance environment
• Enrollment or plan to enroll in a professional accounting designation program
• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases and experience with QuickBooks
• Self-starter with strong ethical standards, able to identify issues and resolve problems
• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or accounting
