Helpdesk Analyst Will
To provide first-level support to PHRI staff over the phone, via email and in person for PC hardware, software applications, printers, network, telephone, and conferencing services. The Jr.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Sustain predictable and reliable call center (Help Line Calls) phone presence while providing a professional and pleasant support call experience.
• Strong demonstrable analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Follow approved incident, request, access, asset and security management processes
• Strong demonstrable understanding of general computer and network technology
• Keep ICT workspaces clean, orderly and safe
• Log, categorize and route support requests in the service desk application.
• Diploma or Associates Degree in Technology or Customer Service.
• Occasionally work outside of core hours to help complete projects that cannot be done during regular business hours
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong demonstrable understanding of Microsoft Office applications
• Update user guides and work instructions as needed to ensure they continue to reflect changes to technology and processes as they evolve within PHRI.
• Strong customer service skills.
• No post-secondary work experience required. Suitable for new graduates.
• Follow established ICT processes and instructions in helping resolve technical issues impacting PHRI staff
• Provide first level support on helpdesk phones

Unit Summary
The Population Health Research Institute (PHRI), a joint institute of Hamilton Health Sciences and McMaster University, with over 300 employees working directly with 60 researchers. PHRI conducts clinical research internationally in 101 countries and is a world leader in large, global health and population and health outcomes research. Our capacity to conduct multiple international studies concurrently, with tens of thousands of participants in each, is a capability very few organizations in the world can match.
Schedule Work Hours
Monday - Friday - 37.5 hours.
This position is temporary until May 2024.
