Job Description
Responsibilities


  • Analysis and support of the IT projects portfolio in the IT PMO
  • Write user stories and test plans
  • Ability to lead and complete smaller projects or initiatives
  • Research, review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes as well as enhancing them
  • Prepare documentation including business cases, project charters and post implementation reviews
  • Document business process flows
  • Work with business to gather requirements and make recommendations
  • Engage and manage 3rd party vendors and consultants as required for successful project execution
  • Research third party tools to meet business needs
  • Perform report development and maintenance activities
  • We are looking for an experienced IT Project Coordinator/ Business Analyst to join our team to support our IT PMO in delivery of technology initiatives
  • Support the IT PMO in day-to-day management of project deliverables including preparing meeting materials, administrative functions and presentations


Experience And Educational Requirements


  • Basic knowledge of project management and business analysis concepts
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator (preference for experience working within an IT PMO)
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field is preferred, however, a combination of professional certifications and/or experience will be considered


Technical Requirements


  • Experience with MS Project, MS Project Online, PowerBI, or other reporting tools
  • Hands on experience in project management reporting and tracking
  • Strong core project management skills including multiple aspects of the PMBOK


Non-technical Requirements


  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Business/service oriented, with the ability to create and maintain productive relationships
  • Experience working in a team-orie nted, collaborative environment, as well as ability to work independently
  • Self-starter, the successful candidate demonstrates strong accountability and pride of ownership to deliver quality solutions
  • Interested in learning new technologies and applying them to the betterment of business stakeholders
  • Effective organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills, including technical writing skills
  • Influence and engage all levels of stakeholders and support change
  • Rapidly learn new business processes and operating practices, and apply this knowledge quickly
