Ontario Line South
Our team is mobilizing its design and construction crews, with major works to commence in 2023. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
What is the project?

• Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
• One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station
• A six-kilometre tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
• Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown.

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a construction project. The role requires expertise in network setup, cyber security audit, user support based on a ticketing system, network design, moving between offices and work sites, and reporting to the IT Manager regarding the progress of the work. This is a full-time position with flexible hours based on a 40-hour contract.
What you will do:

• Set up and maintain the project's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
• Report progress of work to the IT Manager and collaborate with other IT team members to achieve project goals.
• Conduct cyber security audits to ensure that the network is secure and complies with company policies and regulations.
• Move between offices and work sites to provide on-site support and ensure that the network is functioning properly.
• Design and implement network architecture to meet the project's requirements and ensure scalability and reliability.
• Provide user support based on a ticketing system to ensure that users can access the network and its resources.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Work experience on a construction project.
• Willingness to travel between offices and work sites.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proven experience in network setup, cyber security, and user support.
