POSITION TITLE: INVESTMENT & ASSET MANAGEMENT ANALYST
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This role will be responsible to assist throughout the full transaction cycle to assess and execute retail, residential and mixed-use acquisition and development opportunities in a variety of markets across North America. The Analyst will also provide analytical support in the ongoing strategic management of NADG’s portfolio to provide critical performance insight, ensure financial targets are being met, and maximize asset value.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Review due diligence materials and produce supporting analysis throughout the transaction process
- Develop comprehensive financial models to evaluate potential investment opportunities and underwrite project returns
- Conduct research to monitor market trends and inform investment strategies
- Support the coordination and review of property appraisals
- Prepare investment memorandums and fundraising packages to concisely present investment theses, merits, and risks to internal and external stakeholders
- Undertake detailed financial analyses for existing property investments to assess the financial merit of leasing, value-add and redevelopment initiatives
- Assist in the preparation and review of management reports and other investor communications
- Work closely with the Development, Property Management, Leasing and Debt Financing teams to maintain up-to-date information on investment performance and keep management informed about current and planned activities
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate or Accounting
- 1-2 years of experience in real estate development, private equity, asset management, brokerage, or a related field
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
- Advanced financial modelling skills and a solid understanding of real estate investment analysis, finance concepts and terminology
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with ARGUS Enterprise is considered an asset
