Information Technology Security Analyst

Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire a IT Security Analyst for their team for an initial 12-month contract.

Story Behind the Need

Business group: Cybersecurity Operations – team monitors and responds to cybersecurity events; looks at threats to the environment; ensures protections are in place and threats are eradicated.

Project: 3rd party cyber security incidents - These roles are responsible for managing critical 3rd party risk events

Responsibilities Include:

• Bridging communication between technical operations teams and globally based business leadership, and demonstrating an understanding of the business risk in doing so
• Guiding team to best practice for incident response
• Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
• Compiling and contextualizing investigating data for business consumption
• Reporting to Senior Manager, Cyber Problem Management
• Monitoring 3rd party events – coordinate general cyber security response to the news, and intelligence notifications
• Working with stakeholders around the globe
• Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment
• Run 3rd party incident handling, refine and improve response playbooks.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of prior experience in Cybersecurity
• 1+ year of incident management experience
• 10+ years of general working experience

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• CISSP and/or CISM certification
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau
• Previous experience with project management or delivery, preferably within the banking industry
• Bilingual in Spanish is a highly valued asset; The organization has a global presence in Latin America
