Information Technology Security Consultant

We are looking for an IT Security Security Consultant for one of our retails clients in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Client - Retail

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Duration: 12 months contract

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) products or services is an asset.
• 5+ Years of Information Technology experience with desktop and network technologies.
• Experience with the following:
• Active Directory fundamentals (OU structure, objects, etc.).
• Enterprise-grade spam filter product or service.
• Experience with IDS/IPS is an asset.
• Managed enterprise-grade endpoint protection products or services.
• Understanding the NIST framework is an asset.
• Enterprise-grade vulnerability scanning product or service.
• Computer networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching, etc.).
• Group policy functionality within an organizational domain.
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and the application/delegation of permissions.
• Experience using alerting and monitoring and/or other similar.

Education:

• A combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 3-5 Years of knowledge and experience in security and/or recognized certification, including CISM, CISSP, CASP+, CCSP, or other industry-recognized certificates, is considered an asset.
• Knowledge and understanding of ITIL framework certification is an asset.
