Reporting to the IT Director - the IT Business Partner will Collaborate with leaders both inside and outside the organization to ensure delivery of meaningful results from strategic initiatives. The role will serve as an ambassador between the IT Department and other business departments act as a primary point of contact for partners to stimulate, surface, and shape IT Services and work on special projects as assigned.

The IT Business Partner will focus on the overall responsibility to serve as the strategic interface with assigned business units or functional areas for the purpose of business technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management, and relationship management. The role serves as the business relationship link between business units and IT. The role provides highly-valued strategic consulting level support and guidance through key IT initiatives. They communicate decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding business unit requests, projects and initiatives. They proactively share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units. They partner with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g. return on investment, productivity, compliance).

Major tasks and duties:

• Identify business opportunities and work with business and informatics partners to architect, design, prototype and deliver continually improved products
• Support Quarterly Business Reviews and be accountable for the Technology Portfolio
• Lead roadmap development and technology strategy by influencing decision making and collaborating with IT Leaders in North America and global counterparts
• Negotiate and influence the success of key business initiatives by ensuring adequate allocation of cost and resources.
• Analyze the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, recommend and implement solutions to create a holistic experience for corporate functions (e.g. visitor experience, registration, food service, managed meeting services, etc…)
• Take leadership role that educates, advises and challenges to enrich business area strategy for the benefit of the organization
• Partner with business stakeholders and the IT Director to co-create technology-enabled business strategies to enhance the digital experience
• Drive successful completion of strategic initiatives of high business impact by providing direction, aligning resources with shared business objectives
• Work on complex business problems and provide highly innovative solutions using domain expertise, business intelligence to enable quality decision making
• Keeps up to date with technology trends in workplace tech and able to quickly pilot technology for business value realization. Ensures execution accountability that maximizes the value realization

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field required; Master’s, preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and excellent self-management skills
• Executive presentation and communication skills, with experience in communicating with Sr. Management is required.
• Ability to understand global and local business strategic direction and requirements in a multi country, multi-cultural and matrix environment.
• 3+ years leadership experience in developing business cases and delivering large IT project portfolios
• 3+ years professional experience in related field with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments digitalization and business segments.
• Good understanding of ecommerce and CRM Applications and ERP fundamentals
• Experience within a manufacturing industry preferred
• Solid foundation in project management methodology
