Job Description
About Us

MaxPeople is a professional Human Resources and Legal consulting firm offering clients customized approaches to create a people strategy that impacts business growth. We partner with small and mid-size companies across industries. MaxPeople is a team of consultants, advisors, business professionals and next-gen leaders, inspired by a passion for the work we do. We’re here to work, learn, laugh, and grow. We take our work very seriously, but ourselves, not as much

What Drives Us? Striving for excellence is at the heart of everything we do. We’ve created a work culture that embraces an entrepreneurial mind-set and encourages our employees to grow beyond their potential. We are a collaborative group, finding fresh perspectives and new solutions by teaming up and tackling challenges head on. We’re passionate people and that shines through in everything we do at work or at play —marathoners, amateur chefs, yoga gurus, animal advocates - we are all in!!

Come join a team where People make the difference! We rely heavily on people with the smarts, attitude, common sense, and entrepreneurial spirit to drive our success.

As an integral member of our HR team, you will support and partner with assigned client groups. Every day is different - no two days are the same.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide consultative services to the management team and employees in the areas of human resources; both strategically and transactionally.
  • Act as a resource for questions and support regarding policy, process, and practices.
  • As part of the HR team, review and recommend enhancements to HR programs which promote and sustain our brand.
  • Add value to the workplace by driving HR best practices and sharing innovative ideas which create an exceptional corporate culture

Requirements

  • A thought leader who can appropriately challenge a client and ask thought-provoking questions
  • 3+ years of HR experience at a Generalist level, in a fast paced work environment. HR experience in a consulting/professional services environment is an asset.
  • Degree focused in Human Resources Management, or relevant HR certification
  • High degree of confidentiality and professionalism, and an ability to build strong working relationships across various disciplines
  • A learning and growth mindset – always looking for ways to improve and step up your game!
  • An agile approach to tackling HR projects & deliverables that vary (strategic & tactical)
  • Exceptional time management and ability to prioritize. Recognition of the importance of attention to detail and quality results in all that we do.
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of Employment Standards, and other employment laws and regulations
  • An inquisitive approach in questioning the status quo
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey new information in an easy to understand manner

Benefits

What We Offer:

  • Fun and outgoing professional environment that really cares and values its employees
  • A lucrative compensation package dependent on experience
  • Eligibility to participate in company benefits program
  • Rewards and recognition prizes every quarter
  • Early Friday afternoons before every long weekend (summer)
  • Team building and community volunteering events
  • Flexible environment; a hybrid work model
  • Career growth, development, and continuous learning opportunities
