Industrial Engineer in Ingersoll, Ontario (Onsite)

VACCINATION - Must have complete Proof of Covid Vaccination to be eligible.

SCHEDULE : 8:00AM TO 4:30PM– Mon-Fri

• Ability and willingness to travel [Every other week for 6 months] or Temporary Relocate to SE Michigan; Travel for OEM Qualification and / or Plant Support.
• Ability and willingness to work Non-Standard Hours [Early Morning, Late Evenings and some Weekends and Holidays]

Will be responsible for the equipment from the time it is qualified at the OEM through startup plus 1 year. This includes Industrial Engineering activities as well as coordination of installation, debug, runoff, and PPAP of all Material Handling equipment. Work will be performed in a plant environment where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised as well as a high level of independent judgment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experience with Lift Assist / Dollies / MINOMI / Line Side Material Presentation
• Support / Lead the GMOS [Material Handling Labor] Studies, Material Presentation Workshops, Manufacturing Technical Specification [Operating Metrics] Updates
• Deep knowledge and ability to implement Lean Manufacturing Strategies and IE principles [GMS].
• Experience in working with OEMs [Program Management / OEM Timing / Open Issues]
• SCRUM Product owner for all IE / Material Presentation Tasks and Open Issues.
• Practical Problem-Solving Skills [Formal Training / Practical Application] [Red X / 7 Diamond / Shanon / Fish Bone]
• Application of Ergonomic Studies / Standards.
• Support Central IE & Material Strategy teams with development activities [RFQs, Design, Validation, Runoff
• Applying OEM Standard Time Data using STDS and pillar chart updates
• Experience with Simulation Models
• Understanding of Theory of Constraints [Goldratt / The Goal]
• Deep technical knowledge and ability in Industrial Engineering disciplines [STDS / JES / SOS / MTS / PFEP / Layout]
• Optimization of Labor Balance.
• BASIC REQUIREMENTS
• Optimization of overall plant material flow, workplace design, and material presentation
• Program labor updating and tracking using the Global Benchmark Calculator
• Program Execution Experience [Equipment Install through SORP and launch]
• Ability and willingness to travel [Every other week for 6 months] or Temporary Relocate to SE Michigan; Travel for OEM Qualification and / or Plant Support.
• Lead the Execution Phase of the program for Material Handling, Lift Assists, Lift Tables, Dollies, Minomis, Kitting, Repack, Internal Dunnage, Push Carts, and Point of Use Racks Throughput Improvement (TIP) Implementation / Execution
• Experience in troubleshooting equipment [Problem Solving / Debug]
• Experience with Time Cycle Diagrams and Man / Machine Charts
• Desirable 5+ Years Automotive Engineering Experience [Plant and/or Execution],
• Ability and willingness to work Non-Standard Hours [Early Morning, Late Evenings and some Weekends and Holidays]
• Lead Industrial Engineering / Material Presentation Activities
• Experience with Production Data Monitoring System to evaluate [Over cycles / Downtime / Starved / Blocked / Response Times / Downtime Frequencies] in order to improve throughput.
• Develop / Update SOSs, STSs [Job Instructions and Elemental Breakdown]
