Level up your career as a:Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer will develop and design mechanical products and systems in compliance with regulations and standards as dictated by the customer’s location. The Mechanical Engineer will be customer focused to provide product revisions, service solutions and troubleshoot production concerns and customers equipment on site.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain technical reports, documentation, calculations, sketches and electronic drawings and files using CREO, step, dxf.
• Function as the team leader/member of single discipline and multi-discipline engineering projects.
• Ensure that designs meet applicable international standards, code regulation and internal procedures and conduct final inspection and recommend acceptance or rejection of completed designs.
• Oversee the design implementation from concept to production across multiple disciplines.
• Provide support to the product through its life cycle, including manufacturing and technical assistance, installation, cost savings initiatives and design improvements.
• Deploy new products and participate on installations.
• Effectively schedule, prioritize and manage tasks to meet commitments of internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor in Engineering – EIT, however Mechanical Engineering –Peng is preferred. (Working towards EIT or registered P.Eng from another province.)
• Understanding of safety international standards.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to think critically.
• Troubleshoot and organizational skills, team worker, reading/understanding of drawings and 3D modelling in CREO or similar.
• Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Practical experience with risk management, product testing, capability studies, and control plans.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Mechanical role with hands on experience would be considered an asset.
• Technical and practical understanding of transmission, lifting devices, structural components, material properties.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Excellent grasp of diverse, fundamental mechanical engineering concepts and relationships.
• Training and knowledge of Six Sigma techniques, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing are desirable.
