Job Description

We are looking for Hiring Coordinators and Human Resources Coordinators to support the Human Resources Branch. The successful candidates will share our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
The Hiring Coordinator’s (HC) primary responsibility is to provide operational support within the Hiring Services Team with a focus on the hiring function for the organization. The HC is in charge of processing operational activities of the full recruitment cycle for competitive hiring actions for approximately 20-40 concurrent hiring action files of varying levels of complexity.
The Human Resources Coordinator’s (HRC) primary responsibility is to provide operational support within the Client Services Team for a wide range of HR areas. The HRC is in charge of processing operational activities of the full employment life cycle including referencing and actioning ~50 types of various internal processes.
Both roles perform the work in support of an assigned client group. The work entails:
  • Interaction with clients, candidates and stakeholders to exchange information; and
  • Responding to various queries with a view to creating and maintaining a positive impression of the organization.
  • Producing and generating reports;
  • Preparation and dissemination of documentation;
  • Resolution of a wide range of problems;
The HC and HRC keep abreast of all new relevant programs, policies and initiatives and assist with the communication process to clients regarding local procedural and process changes as appropriate.
The HC and HRC use a human resources information system (SAP) and SuccessFactors on a daily basis to populate, maintain, track and report data.

Screening Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:
Education
Successful completion of secondary school according to provincial standards.
Preference may be given to candidates with relevant postsecondary education.

Experience
Recent and significant* experience in an office environment providing front-line client service and operational support including the following:
  • Preparing, proofreading and formatting a range of documents and correspondence.
  • Experience at an intermediate level with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Responding to client enquiries.
  • Coordinating meetings with multiple internal and external clients.
  • Managing numerous concurrent tasks or processes and their status updates.
Preference may be given to applicants with experience in any of the following areas:
  • Providing client service and operational support in an HR environment.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors would be an asset.
  • Using a human resources information management system (such as SAP or PeopleSoft) including data entry, maintenance, tracking and generating reports.
  • Significant and recent means a minimum of two (2) years' experience gained within the last five years.

Relocation
Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.
Compensation
Salary under review.
From $51,653 to $65,684 per annum.
In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
