Groundskeeper/Property Maintenance Person - Mount Elgin

PROPERTY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, SPRING LAKE RV RESORT, MT ELGIN, ON
$18.00 - 19.00 per hour plus benefits, GRRSP-matching, Wellness Days and Volunteer days, annual bonus.

We are currently searching for an energetic Full Time Maintenance Technician to join our team at Spring Lake RV Resort.
The Job

• Follow safety procedures while performing duties, including safely operating vehicles.
• Ensure property is always presentable and inviting.
• Assist in preparation of special events and activities.
• Daily splash pad testing and maintenance.
• All aspects of property maintenance - grass cutting, trimming, weeding, brush and leaf and debris removal.
• Inspect and maintain recreational amenities to ensure proper safety standards are met, completing any minor repairs as needed.
• Assist with scheduling and supervising the grounds staff and their daily routines and responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Routine maintenance and minor repairs to property buildings, facilities, and roads.
• Act in park manager stead during their vacations or days off which may include some weekends.
• Continuously provide strong customer service to prospective and current guests.

• Knowledge and ability to safely conduct basic maintenance on equipment used around the property.
• Ability to prioritize daily work tasks and be able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to operate and maintain powered equipment such as lawnmowers, chainsaws and small hand tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, hydro repairs would be considered an asset.
• Ability to work in a team environment and with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications:

• Please note that applicants must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Must be available for sewer, water, and property emergencies outside normal operating hours (infrequent)
• Must have a valid G-class driver’s license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related role.
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the hotel or campground industry or building maintenance background.
• Knowledge of water/wastewater issues, minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Current First Aid certification.
