Perform tasks relating to the repair, maintenance or operation of Board facilities and Area Offices

Assemble, install, and disassemble modular furniture systems

Ensure any hazardous materials are handled with due care

Shred and ensures disposal of confidential materials

Provide assistance to the Maintenance tradesperson regarding the repair or renovation of physical structures

Organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize.

General knowledge/understanding of building systems, including controls, HVAC, mechanical and electrical is an asset.

WHMIS - Dangerous Goods Certification required.

3 years of relevant work experience is a considered an asset.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

Key Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)

Provides maintenance and related trade support services

Uses standard contract specifications to monitor, direct and inspect the work of contractors.

Tracks costs and certifies contractor performance

Co-ordinates small projects such as renovations and moves from inception to completion

Performs inspections and recommends required maintenance, repairs and alterations for building fabric and systems

Schedules preventive and planned maintenance and maintains service reports

Interact with management, co-workers, and public.

2 years of maintenance experience.

Minimum 1 year of experience in the operation and maintenance of buildings.

General knowledge of plumbing repairing.

Gerenal knowledge about heating units and air conditioners (PTAC units)

Responsible for vandalism clean up and repair, within skill level.

Trades qualifications and/or recognized trades experience in plumbing, electricity and/or Stationary Engineering a definite asset

Experience towing trailers and operating equipment such as skid steers, excavators, dump trailers, chainsaws, brush cutters and log splitters.

Experience providing client services to the public.

Ability to work independently and safely in a remote setting as well as being an integral part of a team.

Maintain appropriate checklists, records and reports including Ice Resurfacer sign out / safety check QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

Valid B refrigeration ticket required ABILITIES, ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

Completed high school education or equivalent (preferred)

Previous experience, training and operation of ice resurfacing equipment

Approachable and team orientated with great communication skills

Trade or Janitorial experience is an advantage

Advises management of corrective actions or preventative actions when necessary

Logs job duties and daily tasks as set forth in documentation requirements

Works closely with the Shift Manager to complete duties and work assignments

Works closely with manager, supervisor and lead

Knows and understands internal policy and external regulatory requirements that relate to the position and department

Maintains any applicable licenses and certifications

Skilled in the use of hand and power tools

Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices

Strong organizational and follow up skills

THIS IS A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT (6 MONTHS)

Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment

Handle basic repairs and maintenance

Supports Marine, Guest Experience, Safety Services, Food, Beverage & Retail, and all other departments with projects, maintenance and operations as required

Possesses the ability to self-manage on small projects

Works closely with Facilities Shift Manager and/or Manager, Facilities to complete duties and work assignments

Perform routine inspection and maintenance activities and provide feedback to management on deficiencies or repairs needed.

3+ years in a similar role, with commercial cleaning experience being an asset.

English communication skills, both verbal and written.

Monitor quality assurance programs, records, and fuel inventory management systems.

Monitor supervisor reports and follow up all operational irregularities while enforcing employee work rules/regulations and report to Senior Management as required.

Participate in the Quality Service, Safety Management System, and Security Programs.

Manage, coordinate, and control all loss prevention responsibilities.
