Building Maintenance Technician Jobs

We’re growing and looking for passionate, driven, and energetic candidates to join our team for the position of Maintenance Technician at White Oaks Mall.The Maintenance Technician works in collaboration with the building operations team and reports to the Sr. Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

Maintain property components in top quality condition:

• Complete or assist in daily, weekly, and monthly Fire inspection requirements
• Complete work orders and tasks assigned daily
• General exterior maintenance/upkeep of the property, including but not limited to replacing damaged signs, pothole filling, and graffiti removal.
• Complete regular HVAC Filter Changes and preventative maintenance
• Plan, prioritize, perform and monitor preventative maintenance including (but not limited to), painting, carpentry, door maintenance, lighting, plumbing and other general repairs as required
• Execute minor repairs and maintenance including carpentry, painting, drywall repair, electrical, and plumbing
• Proactively monitor building conditions for potential issues and provide supervisors with information and suggested plan of action.
• Responds to and complete service requests in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot building operation issues

Perform administrative duties

• Maintain Inventory and fulfilment of stock requests from janitorial contractor
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule
• Suggest new and innovative methods of maintenance and maintenance tracking
• Coordinate with Supervisor and external contractors to see work items through to completion.
• Monitor energy use and assist in the implementation of sustainability initiatives
• Maintain equipment and tools

• Ability to work part of a team as well as independently and sometimes with minimal supervision
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, and ventilation systems
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including to lift and transport materials, bend, excavate, climb and reach repetitively
• Knowledge of and commitment to Workplace safety, safe lifting, and handling procedures
• Valid Driver’s License
