Maintenance Supervisor - Packaging
The Opportunity:
itec group is partnered with a manufacturing leader in the Packaging sector currently searching for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor at their facility in the Mississauga region. The selected candidate will be directly responsible for the supervision of 6+ maintenance personnel in a unionized manufacturing environment. This is a full time permanent position offering a competitive salary with benefits, RRSP, and bonus; hours are 6am to 2pm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Trades C of Q OR Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Diploma/Degree
-3+ years of maintenance leadership experience is required
-Experience with presses
-CMMS management experience
-Experience developing a maintenance team of 6+ maintenance personnel
-Strong mentor with the ability to get the most out of his/her team
-Machine installation experience is an asset
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Coordinate the activities in the daily operations and functions of the maintenance process
-Manage, initiate, control and direct the activities of employees and equipment within the department
-Assign work as required within the department
--Provide a monthly explanation for maintenance and repair expenses to management as well as performance to goals
-Ensure parts supplies are available in order to properly maintain essential equipment
-Ensure training and manage daily activities for maintenance staff to support a 2 shift operation
-Keep current records of all problems and remedies and ensure accuracy
-Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures
Supervisory responsibilities to include interviewing, hiring, and training new employees, planning, assigning and directing work, performance appraisals, rewarding, and disciplining employees , addressing complaints and resolving concerns
