Location:Kelowna, BC - (Licensed) and Hamilton, ON - (Licensed/Un-licensed)
Benelux Tek Aerospace has exciting opportunities for Avionics Technicians, in Kelowna, BCto work for a rapidly growing airline that provides passenger, charter, cargo, and fuel-air service in a safe and reliable environment.
In this role, as an Avionics Technician, you will help the company in performing Avionics supportbyassisting in line and heavy maintenance projects as well as work in the Avionics shop within his/her appropriate skill and ability level, in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations and company manuals and procedures.
Responsibilities
Avionics Technicians will be expected to be able to demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency and perform the following functions:
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge
- Able to find and read applicable wiring drawings
- Reporting to the Crew Chief any unserviceable condition discovered
- Able to inspect and identify defects
- Engaging in basic troubleshooting on assigned task
- Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Having a thorough understanding of systems – air conditioning, hydraulics, engines, flight controls, landing gear, avionics, electrical generation, oxygen, fuel, pneumatics - on multiple aircraft
- Showing ability to retain information and apply learning’s to similar situations
- Accurately identifying, obtaining, using, and testing appropriate tools for assigned tasks
- Taking responsibility for quality of own work and fixing mistakes where required
- Basic knowledge of Standard Wiring Practices and Avionics Systems
Documentation & Administration:
- Ensures appropriate documentation is completed accurately and on time and submitted to a Senior Technician or Shift Lead for ACA approval
- Ability to complete ERP processes and procedures correctly
- Ensure Safety
Certification & Experience
- Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) License and minimum 2 years experience performing avionics modification.

- Able to effectively train apprentices

- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Intranet

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Other
- Flexibility to work any type of shift rotation
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Work is conducted in English
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
