Advotek Recruitment is sourcing a Full Time Maintenance Supervisor with 5+ years of experience for our trusted client located in Bobcaygeon, Ontario. The client, a well-established Canadian-owned company with over 80 years in the food and beverage manufacturing industry, produces and distributes dairy products to many retail stores and services a wide range of customers, from grocery stores to food service establishments.
- Identify and recommend new equipment and technology that can improve efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management software to generate and delegate work orders, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and standards related to maintenance activities.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery are maintained and serviced according to schedule, and identify and address any issues that arise.
- Liaise with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure that equipment downtime is minimized.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols for maintenance activities, and ensure that they are followed by maintenance staff.
- Supervise the daily maintenance of production equipment and provide support to mechanics and electricians as necessary, working collaboratively with them to ensure optimal performance.
- Understanding, living, supporting, and always promoting the company's Values, which are designed to strengthen and always improve employee morale, and teamwork and truly optimize the overall working environment.
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley VFDs is desired.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify and address issues in a timely manner.
- An understanding of control systems with an emphasis on PLCs, SCADA, or HMI systems is desired.
- Familiarity with Canadian electrical and safety requirements is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, an understanding of electrical systems, and experience with maintenance procedures and protocols.
- The candidate should know the Electric Code and international standards.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, and experience supervising maintenance staff.
- The candidate should be able to troubleshoot control systems effectively.
- Familiarity with dairy production processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting PI&D drawings is desired.
- Programming experience using Allen Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix is a plus.
- Millwright certification of qualification with at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in the Dairy Industry is highly preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing maintenance, along with proficiency in plant maintenance software, is required.
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, and standards related to maintenance activities.
- The candidate should possess specific knowledge of GMPs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
