Graphic Designer & Content Creator

The CEBL is in search of a passionate, and adaptable self-starter to join our fast-paced and innovative Brand & Marketing department this summer.
The selected candidate will be part of a design team responsible in helping showcase the CEBL and its team brands in an elite and professional manner to national and international media, and across our social media and digital channels.
3 month contract (full-time)
Responsibilities: (Including, but not limited to)

• Effectively design and produce scalable and adaptable graphics across multiple digital channels (social, web, email, digital documents)
• Provide timely graphics to the broadcast and live stream production team, as assigned
• Create compelling sponsorship and business packages for internal stakeholders and B2B objectives.
• Produce timely game day graphics for teams and the league for game day updates
• Work in tandem with the Sr. Design Specialist to align on best-in-class execution of the league and teams’ brand and marketing campaign strategies across websites and the CEBL’s OTT platform
• Assist in the production of multi-channel social media content in a timely and agile manner while adopting best practice image specs, logo and brand guidelines
• Efficiently prioritize, organize and deliver on brand plans while being understanding of deadlines
• Participate in marketing and creative brainstorms to ensure that the CEBL continues to be an agile, nimble, and scalable brand that is constantly growing

Required Skills:

• Professional experience in graphic design and creative production
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud as a whole, especially Photoshop, illustrator, and InDesign.
• Experience with Adobe After Effects and Premiere is an asset
• Excellent knowledge of digital content management systems, web production, and social media best practices
• Experience preparing files for print is an asset
• Strong working knowledge of MailChimp, Microsoft Office, G Suite products and key social media platforms
• Prior industry experience in sport and knowledge of basketball is an asset
• Ability to adapt and grow in a fast-paced and fast-changing brand environment
• Ability to learn and develop new skills and design techniques
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Qualifications:
• College diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Creative Production or a related field
• Sufficient experience in graphic design and creative production, preferably in sports
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in editing and producing promotional content and delivering on varied marketing requests
• Prior experience in creating presentations in a pitch environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A passionate fan of the culture of sports, especially basketball

Availability:
● Monday - Friday (9 AM - 5 PM)
● Evening and weekend will be required
● Travelling, as required
