Job Description
This charity has been providing accommodation and support to homeless men and women for over 50 years. The organisation has an exciting new opportunity to join the team as their Fundraising & Community Engagement Manager. You will be raising funds and awareness to benefit people moving on from homelessness living in the charity’s supported housing service and additional projects.


Fundraising & Community Engagement Manager


Salary: £37,747 - £42,353 per annum


Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (part time hours possible for the right candidate)


Location: Flexible combination of office in Cambridge and working from home

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with significant fundraising and marketing experience, supporting the Senior Management Team to develop the fundraising strategy. Managing and building existing partnerships, building new income generation strategies, promoting the charity’s awareness to the local community, corporate and individual supporters.


Key Responsibilities


  • Identify and secure additional fundraising opportunities
  • Develop a quarterly newsletter and communication style to engage supporters of the charity
  • Engage with local companies to develop corporate support from the business community
  • Develop the charity’s legacy fundraising stream
  • Build a database of supporters and members, regular donors and mailing list
  • Raise the charity’s local profile and social media presence, including regular press releases
  • Develop digital fundraising and website in line with the recommendation from the fundraising strategy
  • Produce key media messages and images for digital communication
