Role Description
This full-time on-site role located in New Glasgow, NS is for a Marketing and Community Engagement Manager. The Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to better engage the community, promoting the town's unique features, and enhancing the Town's participation, awareness, and support of community initiatives, programs and events. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing and/or community engagement role
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite is an asset
- Experience managing budgets and analyzing data, including familiarity with website analytics and metrics
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and with external stakeholders, including community members and volunteers
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a relevant field
- Knowledge of social media, digital marketing, and website management
- Experience in event planning and volunteer coordination
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and professionalism
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience making presentations to various audiences
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing campaigns and community engagement programs
