Estimator/ Proposals Engineer Jobs

We are currently seeking an energetic Senior Estimator/ Proposals Engineer to join our client’s growing team in their Calgary office.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Sales team to qualify and track incoming opportunities.
• Follow up on submitted proposals.
• Review client Inquiry/RFQ/RFP/Contract technical specifications and assign actions to the appropriate internal group.
• Serve as primary point of contact for proposals, clarifications, and award.
• Co-ordinate “Bid to Win” strategy sessions with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate internally to manage the creation of technical documentation such as drawings: P&ID’s, GA, weld procedures, and equipment detail.
• Positively contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of sales and estimation tools, systems, and practices
• Coordinate the development of detailed project proposals maintaining functional oversight of the proposal from reception through award.
• Develop cost estimates and detailed proposals using internal design methods, costing, and estimating procedures.
• Maintain and build client relationships.
• Work closely with the sales team & contracts specialist to evaluate RFQ’s/RFP’s, negotiate terms, and finalize commercial agreements.

Requirements:

• 5-10 Years of project estimating experience in a fabrication environment
• Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma – Registered with APEGA or ASET
• Commercial Experience with process equipment & fabrication environments
• Excellent Communication Skills - Fluent in English both written and spoken.
