Overall Scope of the Position:

The Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates and bid proposals in accordance with customer specifications and company standards. Deliver a customized package that provides value to the customer and profit to Dacro.

Key Responsibilities and Authority:

1.Preparing detailed quotations for assigned inquiries/projects, in accordance with inquiry documents by:

·Compiling itemized estimate sheets from inquiry data sheets and specifications;

·Sourcing material and service costs and deliveries;

·Estimating labor requirements for determining approximate delivery schedules;

·Preparing detailed quotations.

2.Maintains positive customer liaison to refine estimate details and respond to customer enquiries.

3.Prepares Sales Orders, As-Bought Estimate and additional paperwork, as necessary, following job awards.

4.Reviews customer purchase orders to verify compliance with the quotation (estimate) and pre-

award

5.Acts as a resource to other departments after an award in the assessment of customer requirements,

as identified during the estimating process.

6.Attends and participates in bid clarification and pre-award meetings, on request.

7.Provides input to Estimating Manager for assessment of potential sales.

8.Brief other departments with regard to contract requirements at job kick off meetings. 11.Participates in continuous improvement Initiatives as requested by Senior Management.

12.Performs additional duties as assigned.

Skills Required or Developed:

¨NAIT (or equivalent) Diploma in Engineering Design & Drafting Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or C.E.T. designation and 5 years’ experience.

¨Experience in pressure vessel manufacturing.

¨Computer and drafting knowledge an asset.

¨Knowledge of ASME codes.

¨Good communication and organizational ability.

¨Must be able to work independently and accurately.
