We are working with a leading electrical contractor based in Edmonton and serving across the province to assist them in finding an exceptional Electrical Estimator. The majority of their work is in the institutional/commercial sector with some residential work. Our client is a successful and continually growing firm run by an energetic and driven team with unlimited opportunities for the right person.

The Electrical Estimator will:

• Liaise with clients and owners to obtain information, clarifications, and updates
• Maintain excellent working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
• Attend all project turnover meetings
• Review and understand construction drawings and specs and follow through with estimating processes to develop competitive tenders in the commercial and residential sectors.
• Actively participate in business development; identify and pursue opportunities
• Attend site visits, and check for discrepancies between drawings and site conditions
• Work with subcontractors and suppliers to attain accurate and competitive pricing
• Attend bid review meetings, participate in tender closings
• Perform material and labor take-offs using AccuBid and or Enterprise, Live Count

Position Requirements:

• A minimum of five years of estimating experience in the electrical construction industry
• Experience in Microsoft Office; with Accubid Pro and/or Enterprise, Live Count an asset
