Brief Summary of Role


The Director of Multifamily will bring extensive insurance sales experience with specific domain expertise in the multifamily market. The individual in this role will own the sales and renewal process and be responsible for gross written premium (GWP) generation in our growing Multifamily team. You will manage a growing book of business and will be expected to drive client acquisition by networking and prospecting within the multifamily space.


Reporting to the COO, you are responsible for motivating, guiding and leading the multifamily team to success. You should expect to lead from the front and offer daily hands-on feedback, direction, encouragement, and advice.


What You'll Do:


  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive multifamily premium growth and expand our market share
  • Build strong relationships with key accounts and identify and close new business opportunities to increase gross written premium sales and revenue
  • Implement a sales strategy and methodology to guide the sales team - provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the sales team meet and exceed their sales targets
  • Provide strong and credible leadership to a team of sales professionals, setting a unified direction for the team and ensuring priorities are clear at all times
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains competitive in the multifamily marketplace
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting key trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Collaborate with the COO to execute sales initiatives and drive growth and progress towards meeting our targets
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Track and monitor sales KPIs metrics, including overseeing daily sales activities and performance of multifamily sales agents
  • Conduct productive morning meetings with your team to track the progress of the pipeline and provide expert guidance and support to ensure we meet our clients’ needs

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Subject matter expertise and a minimum of 7 years selling in the multifamily insurance market
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Active P&C Insurance Sales license
