Hays has partnered with a established and growing real estate development and property manager in the recruitment for the role of Director of Real Estate Investments. The Director of Real Estate Investments will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing on real estate investment opportunities across various asset classes and markets to drive the overall growth strategy of the company.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, including brokers, lenders, and investors
- Negotiate purchase agreements and other legal documents with sellers and brokers
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment deals, including financial analysis, market research, and property/land inspections
- Identify and evaluate new real estate investment and development opportunities through market research, industry relationships, and deal sourcing efforts
- Manage and monitor the performance of the company's real estate portfolio, including financial and operational metrics
- Work closely with internal teams, including legal, finance, and construction, to ensure successful project execution
- Manage and mentor a team of analysts and associates to ensure successful execution of investment strategies
- Develop and implement investment strategies and objectives that align with the company's overall goals and risk tolerance
- Provide regular reporting and analysis on portfolio and investment performance to senior management and investors.
- Oversee the acquisition process from initial identification to closing, including coordination with legal, accounting, and other internal departments
What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related field
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills
- Knowledge of real estate markets and trends
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in real estate investments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and real estate software such as Argus.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and overseeing due diligence activities
- Strong leadership and management and negotiation skills
