The ideal candidate can lead a team, host stakeholder engagements with senior leaders while assuming overall end-to-end ownership of our projects and milestones.
What You Bring To The Table:
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and procedures applicable to the construction industry.
- Work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
- You have a high level of organization and self motivation
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Your team looks up to you and wants to work with you due to your personality and leadership skills
- You get satisfaction and gratification in developing your team
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and risk management
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in programs such as Word, Excel, Office, AutoCad and more
- Civil Engineering Degree Required
General Responsibilities
- Review monthly progress reports
- Plan and organization project milestones and make recommendations to optimize processes and improve productivity.
- Assist and advise the project teams on the direction of work related to budgets, program methods, technics and negotiations with major partners.
- Manage daily operational aspects of the project by providing project management expertise and guidance, enforcing project standards, anticipating and troubleshooting issues and minimizing the hospital’s exposure to risk
- Establish and review budgets for various projects in collaboration with PM's
- Communicate, inform and confirm understanding of the supervisory team regarding relevant information such as plans, contracts, site schedules, follow ups etc.
- Create project work plans in coordination with appropriate internal and external stakeholders, technical subject matter experts and business leads to establish project scope, deliverables, budgets, accountabilities, schedules, timelines, resources, monitoring, and post project audit/evaluation; including communication documentation
- Negotiate construction contracts with subcontractors and make recommendations on contract awards.
- Ensure work is carried out as per guidelines within budget and schedules.
