We’re looking for a Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) and Strategic Projects to join our growing company and play a key role in our customer experience by ensuring each purchase ends in a smile!



The Director, HRBP – Strategic Projects will have accountability for key initiatives related to HR priority areas including talent management, talent acquisition, workplace culture, and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDI&B), in addition to supporting, when needed, the management of complex workplace investigations and dispute resolution files.


The ideal candidate is a high performing HR practitioner who is looking for a broad developmental experience as part of their longer- term career journey. This unique role will be of most interest for someone who wants to deepen their experience in leading strategic projects and enterprise programs, as well as have targeted involvement in resolving complex employee relations files, as an escalation point in partnership with our HRBP team.


In this role you will:


  • Stay abreast of HR best practice, external trends and latest research to inform and influence our strategic priorities
  • Build effective change management practices into projects to support buy-in and engagement
  • Support the HR leadership team by leading and managing various initiatives and special projects in areas including but not limited to: talent acquisition, talent management, EDI&B, learning and development, and workplace culture
  • Support complex workplace dispute resolution, mediation and investigation files, as identified/assigned, and in partnership with HRBPs and other key stakeholders
  • Prepare related reports and presentations leveraging key HR data, results and insights
  • Facilitate elect training programs and workshops, in support of HR strategy and initiatives
  • Drive accountability and results through effective project planning, KPIs, status updates and reporting, and stakeholder engagement


Qualifications


The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:


  • Experience with alternative dispute resolution processes, managing workplace investigations, and recommending appropriate interventions and solutions; applies strong knowledge of applicable employment legislation throughout
  • Completion of a degree/diploma in Human Resources Management or related field, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills; demonstrated ability to influence and develop strong partnerships and engagement at all levels
  • Applicable certifications in mediation, workplace investigations and/or dispute resolution would be considered an asset
  • Track record of critical thinking, a growth mind-set and creative problem-solving
  • Creative, strategic HR professional, with at least 8 -10 years’ progressive and diverse experience
  • Applicable certifications in project or change management would be considered an asset
  • Experience in leading projects to successful outcomes, and managing various initiatives concurrently
