Position Summary


The UFC's Toronto, Canada office has a unique opportunity to join the team as the Digital Content and Social Media Coordinator. The selected candidate will shape and execute digital content and social media strategy, while working closely with multiple departments to create awareness and develop initiatives that enhance the brand in the Canadian market. The position works with the content and creative teams to translate English and French content, performs promotional activities ahead of fight cards, as well as live-event coverage on all UFC Canada platforms. The role requires developing distinct social media voices for both English- and French-Canadian fans.

Le candidat sélectionné devra être en mesure de développer et de mettre en place une stratégie de communication sur les réseaux sociaux et d’en produire le contenu, tout en travaillant de concert avec les multiples départements et développer des initiatives afin d’améliorer la représentation de la marque sur le marché canadien. Le poste exige de travailler en conjonction avec les équipes affectées à l’infographie et au contenu dans le but de faire traduire les pièces en anglais et en français, organiser et participer à des activités promotionnelles tenues en marge des événements et assurer la promotion courante des événements ainsi que leur couverture en direct sur toutes les plateformes gérées par UFC Canada. La personne doit être sensibilisée à l’existence d’un double marché au pays et de la nécessité de rejoindre autant les fans anglo-canadiens que franco-canadiens.


Responsibilities


  • Performs other tasks, projects and responsibilities as assigned
  • Translates digital content, creative and video assets, as well as press materials into French and manages relationship with French contractor
  • Tracks content against KPIs, identifying trends and best practices

  • Provide support to broadcast partners to promote tune-in to UFC events
  • Maintains daily/weekly social media calendar and posting schedule to maximize impact of posts
  • Provides regular remote coverage, and occasionally, on-site coverage of UFC events using social media tools and platforms including Grabyo, Socialbakers, and others

  • Contributes to and executes Canadian social media strategy, in both English and French Canada

  • Executes Community Management across all social platforms including tracking fan sentiment about fighters, promotions, and events; identifying any UFC Fight Pass and PPV purchasing issues; and managing the UFC Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Inbox
