About The Role
The Manager, Social Media works as a member of the Interior Health’s (IH) Corporate & Digital Content Team to strategically implement and manage social media content, resourcing and digital engagement activities across multiple channels that inform and engages external audiences on key platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
The Manager reports directly to the Director, Corporate & Digital Content, and is accountable for developing, activating and owning the organic and paid social media strategy, ensuring it contributes to the achievement of IH’s organizational objectives. The Manager is the preeminent subject matter expert on all social and digital content matters and will be responsible for the execution and management of a fully-integrated social media channel plan designed to grow follower base, foster and optimize engagement, measure success, and align with Interior Health’s organizational and communications priorities across multiple platforms while reflecting IH’s values and goals. A core component of this responsibility will be the ability to define key performance indicators to complement the strategy and its implementation.
The Manager works collaboratively with Communications & Engagement Portfolio leadership to ensure the alignment and translation of communications priorities into social programming, along with other operational experts across the IH organization, to bring to life Corporate & Digital content through a number of mediums.
As the Manager, you will be on the cutting edge of social media trends, functions and best practices and responsible for integrating your expertise into social media best practices at IH. You will regularly navigate relationships across the Communications & Engagement Portfolio as well as throughout the organization, and be able to leverage your expertise and influence through advice, counsel and best-in-class execution with internal and external partners.
