What you’ll be doing

As our new PR and Social Media Coordinator, you’re an organized and prolific social media marketer and have a passion for organizing memorable events. You love attending (and even running) industry events virtually and in-person and are equally comfortable in front of the camera. You enjoy researching and geeking out on analytics and data, and also enjoy digging into the latest trends in social and tech. You’re highly organized and have the ability to keep all your tasks on track. If you absolutely require a fast pace and want to make a significant impact as part of a small and growing team, then we should talk.

• Managing social media channels (comments, engagements) and report on analytics
• Provide research, planning, coordination, and logistical support for webinars, podcasts, panel discussions, in-person tradeshows, client events, conferences and AEQ-hosted events
• You are comfortable hosting events and managing virtual breakout rooms for prospects, partner account executives, sales teams, customers, and industry.
• Create and distribute relevant social content and campaigns that educate and grow engagement with our audience.
• Conduct event briefings and debriefing meetings for sales and support teams. Provide event reporting.
• Coordinating and managing the agency's relationship with an external PR agency

Who You Are:

An enthusiastic and eager to learn fresh graduate or someone in their final term looking for internship opportunity. As an intern you will be required to commit full-time for 16 weeks. You will need to be highly organized, attentive to detail, results-driven, and comfortable thinking outside of the box to be successful in this role.

• You take notes! You are capable of conducting event kick-offs and debriefing meetings for sales and marketing teams and reporting back on progress.
• You have an eye for detail and you keep yourself very organized.
• You enjoy planning events and managing interactions such as virtual breakout rooms for prospects, sales teams, customers, and industry
• You are an enthusiastic and eager individual who is self-driven, proactive, and resourceful.

Must Haves:

• Comfortable working independently and on tight timelines
• Comfortable wearing different hats in the entire event planning process
• Ability to keep organized, especially in organizing multi-faceted events
• 0-1 year of experience in planning events can be academic events and or corporate events.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to travel to the USA or within Canada
• Attitude is always positive and never hesitant to roll up your sleeves.

Nice to Have

• Experience with HubSpot
• Campaign Management Experience
• Organizing company and business events
• Experience in B2B/Technology/Professional Services

Education

• Or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing who is looking for their final CO-OP placement.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing preferred

Location

Aequilibrium is remote-first and we continue to have in-person engagement events per quarter to nurture a healthy AEQ culture. Depending on your role, you may be required to be on-site from time to time to support the needs of our business.
