Customer Solutions Transportation Engineer

We are looking for a Customer Solutions Transportation Engineer for our Contract Logistics division/office based in Mississauga

Your Role

The Customer Solutions Transportation Engineer will develop network solutions, and transportation designs (FTL, LTL and parcel) based on the analysis of a customer network, to implement optimised solutions regarding service level, inventory carrying costs and supply chain costs.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and improve network analysis methodology; build relationship with transportation and operations teams.
• Develop sustainable network design solutions and continuous improvement opportunities that support customer's strategy and adds value; supported by business case development.
• Exhibit advanced skills in using network analysis applications, tools, techniques and methodologies.
• Read and comprehend customer RFP to identify solution requirements and any additional data required to develop the solution.
• Develop detailed Concept of Operations (COO) documents/presentations and participate in customer presentations.
• Maintain rates database to ensure competitive proposals.
• Prepare network analysis and transportation solutions/pricing within RFP process ensuring solution is optimised and aligned to customer requirements.
• Provide peer review and coaching to Jr. Engineering resources.
• Work with local teams in evaluation of carrier proposals.
• Participate and support startup planning of attained new business.

Your Skills And Experiences

• Knowledge of common transportation IT systems and technology.
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of logistics experience in 3PL environment preferred with focus on network analysis and transportation design.
