Conducting traffic operations, transportation planning and safety assessments for rural and urban environments.

Provide updates and knowledge base for improved operations, project delivery, solution design, asset management, and engineering at the GTAA

Elicit, interpret, validate and document business client and partner requirements, and prioritize these requirements in solution alignment and benefits realization

Knowledge, ability and desire to apply Professional Engineering statutes including Design, Protection of Public, and Code of Ethics requirements

Guide the planning, documenting, and execution of commissioning and post construction activities to measure success and ensure benefit realization

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design, construction and maintenance of industrial and commercial capital equipment

Knowledge of escalating, elevating, and conveying devices along with associated regulations, laws and technology limitations

Minimum of 3 years of experience in ITS and/or Transportation Technology or similar fields

Knowledge of the ITS Industry including products and suppliers is an asset

Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills in English

Roadside technologies (detection, cameras, signage, etc.),

Power and communications systems (wireless, fibre optics, etc.)

Smart mobility and transit, and

Must have direct experience in the administration of the Environmental Assessment Process.

Must have project administration experience.

Must have experience in a computerized environment, including MS Word, Access and PowerPoint.

Should have knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, its regulations and knowledge of the hazards associated with work.

Provide field construction management support (inspections, punch list generation, and project close-out)

Conduct site visit before and during design to confirm design requirements

Manages ongoing workload within the ITS team to ensure adequate resourcing for ongoing projects

Works with the Business Development Manager to develop proposals for the ITS engineering services provided by the team

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Electrical or Electronic Engineering with Transportation experience is preferred

Minimum 4 years of experience with ITS and electrical subsystems, preferably in the consulting engineering industry

Read and comprehend customer RFP to identify solution requirements and any additional data required to develop the solution.

Prepare network analysis and transportation solutions/pricing within RFP process ensuring solution is optimised and aligned to customer requirements.

Exhibit advanced skills in using network analysis applications, tools, techniques and methodologies.

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.

2+ years of logistics experience in 3PL environment preferred with focus on network analysis and transportation design.

Knowledge of common transportation IT systems and technology.

Demonstrated abilities in the management and leadership of multidisciplinary projects and teams

Exceptional abilities in project management

Management and delivery of stakeholder consultation programs and municipal council and agency presentations

A minimum of 10 years' professional experience, preferably in the consulting industry

Proven leadership and business development capabilities

Proven skills in public and agency consultation

Coordinate designs with the rest of the multidisciplinary team including structural, traffic, pavement, environmental, stormwater management, electrical, etc.

Assist the Project Manager in the day-to-day coordination of projects

Prepare work plans and schedules in coordination with project managers and other disciplines

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in highway and/or municipal roadway engineering

Experience engaging and negotiating with project stakeholders

Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills

Preparation, design, and review of Traffic Management Plans;

Customer service and project management.

Has had exposure to the Traffic Management Manual for Work on Roadways.
