Corporate Accounting Manager Jobs

We are seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our BPA team in Mississauga.
The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for the full-cycle accounting for the organization. The expectation for this position is that tight deadlines for monthly reporting will be met and accurate financials will be produced. This position reports to the Vice President of Finance, Benefit Solutions.
The Corporate Accounting Manager will be responsible for:

• Full-cycle accounting for financial statements for the company.
• Preparation of all working paper schedules to be reconciled and maintained monthly.
• Preparation and management of the annual corporate audit, including preparatory work and coordination with external auditors.
• Supervision of daily, monthly, and quarterly ledgers. These ledgers cover the entities under the BPA Financial Group consolidated company.
• Assisting in the annual budgeting process, preparation, and analyses.
• Providing assistance and guidance to the client accounting department (upwards of 10 bookkeepers)
• Supervision and management of accounting clerks and/or junior staff (bookkeeping, payables, and receivables) to ensure equal contribution to the revenue stream and that all take liability in the overall financial statements.
• Preparation of monthly analysis of revenue and expenses, variance reporting, and making all necessary accruals.

To be successful as a Corporate Accounting Manager with BPA, you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent
• Working towards CPA certification is an asset
• Knowledge and expertise in all accounting and financial disciplines.
• Having five years' experience in corporate accounting or being a CPA or CPA Finalist
