Do you have a passion for being a great leader while working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to pay attention to the smallest of details? This role will require supervision and support of all Corporate Accountants and Specialists while overseeing the overall management of Corporate Accounting area.If you would like to be on a team of Great People delivering great service, we may have just the opportunity for you!

The job involves:

  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation
  • Acting as a liaison between senior leadership and Casino personnel
  • Accounting for HST and income taxes, reviewing leases and agreements for accounting implications
  • Monitor capital vs operational spending
  • Assisting in treasury functions such as foreign currency strategy and cash flow management
  • Monthly, quarterly and yearly related financial reporting, analyzing and reviewing for numerous financial entities, reviewing monthly internal report packages
  • Developing and monitoring control activities to exceed the AGCO standards and requirements
  • Supporting staff in regard to training, coaching, and providing performance feedback, delivering pertinent operational communications and announcements
  • Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
  • Ensuring data recorded in the financial accounting system is consistent with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

The ideal candidate has:

  • Outstanding communication, organizational, resource and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated leadership, management and team building skills
  • University Degree/College Diploma with a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Attention to detail with ability to produce accurate work
  • Minimum 5 years progressive management experience
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, AS400,LSI systems, related accounting software)
