About Shared Tower: Shared Tower is a developer of communications assets throughout Canada. Shared Tower’s offering comprises towers, fibre and colocation facilities.

Reporting To: Lorna Levac, Head of Engineering and Construction

Role Overview: The Construction Manager is absolutely critical to our “boots on the ground” execution mentality. Responsibilities range from providing key inputs to inform our real estate decision making, to working with landlords before, during and after construction, to overseeing the ongoing maintenance of our assets.

Out-of-province travel will increasingly be a requirement for this role. Currently, all site work for the Construction Manager that is out of province is by phone/emails/managing an engineering contractor to complete any on-site work.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work with carrier tower tenant technicians to resolve site access and all issues raised

2. Work with landlords to resolve all issues that are brought to us

3. Perform and document (report and photos) site assessments / qualifications in partnership with site acquisition, engineering and construction teams

4. Request and PM site-specific reports and ensure that our contractors / agencies receive them timely (i.e. geotechnical, wind, NAV Canada, Transport Canada, Phase 1, etc.)

5. Manage pre-construction activities on the site, set and manage landlord expectations

(survey, hydro, road, tower stacking and restoration)

6. Document site-specific construction requirements and communicate to contractors to ensure compliance with build requirements

7. Manage landlord communication from Shared Tower and our contractor(s) before, during, and after construction process

8. Submit construction completion paperwork as required (e.g. NAV Canada notice of

construction completion, Shared Tower ground inspection report, etc.)

9. Manage and coordinate contractor work (either Shared Tower or carrier) on sites under construction for new site or augment construction

10. Perform wellness checks on our sites and file the report and photos

Deliverables:

1. Use our project management tool Asana to report information on all tasks assigned

2. Use our company repository tool Google Drive for all filing of site information,documents and photos

3. Request and PM site-specific reports and ensure that our contractors / agencies receive

Desired Qualifications:

1. 15 years experience in cellular communication towers (design/construction/maintenance/changes to the tower’s loading)
2. Seasoned professional with excellent communication skills which they can use internally and externally to landlords
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. Understanding or first hand experience of ordering and constructing towers
5. Understanding or first hand experience of installing equipment onto towers
6. Understanding or first hand experience of turning a new site on air
7. Understanding or first hand experience of installing and augment onto a tower and turning it in service
8. Based in Ontario and able to drive to site locations
