Description
CONDITIONING MONITORING ANALYST
The mining tire group is looking for an individual to fill the role of Conditioning Monitoring Analyst. The Conditioning monitoring analyst will provide remote support to ensure the efficient and optimal functioning of autonomous tire inspection stations and TPMS sensors across the region. This is primarily a screen-based role, requiring remote monitoring of multiple systems with occasional travel to mine sites.
The role consists of five principal elements:
  • Remote asset monitoring of autonomous tire inspection stations and TPMS sensors, ensuring systems are operating as expected and geofencing is capturing trucks accurately.
  • Verification of site business rules in TOMS to produce actionable work orders that improve fleet productivity.
  • Providing Condition monitoring reporting, analysis and recomendations to mine site supervisor, operation manager and customer.
  • Review of images and released work orders to look for false positives, identification of new damage types, and feedback to Pitcrew for training image recognition models.
  • Management of the autonomous inspection station hardware and ensuring 99% uptime, as well support the roll-out of new autonomous inspection stations.
Effective communication is crucial to this role, ensuring identified issues can be appropriately addressed by the customer, Kal Tire site teams, planners, Productivity Services Specialists, or Pitcrew as necessary.
Core Responsibilities
System Surveillance – Pitcrew and TPMS
  • Achievement of system health check KPIs for both Pitcrew and TPMS.
  • Ensure Pitcrew and TPMS systems are working properly and reliably.
  • Liaison with planners and site teams to advise on optimal site-level business rules.
  • Management of "false positive" or incorrectly created Pitcrew/TPMS work orders to minimise site workload.
  • Regular interaction with vendor dashboards and TOMS to verify system operations and data transmissions.
Pitcrew Image Feedback Loop
  • Identification of missed or new issues for feedback and improvement.
  • Regular review and feedback on work orders from Pitcrew and TPMS.
Condition Monitoring
  • Condition monitoring of tires, reporting, analysis of root causes and recommendation to mine sites
Communication
  • Regular liaison with various parties (productivity services team, customer sites, operational management, planners, other CMAs, TOMS team) to address issues, optimise processes, and improve business rules.
Work Experience
Although having a minimum of 3 years' experience in asset conditioning monitoring environment, asset maintenance planning, or dispatch/fleet management system is preferred, post-graduate students of electrical, mechanical, reliability or mechatronic engineering or similar are invited to apply even if they do not meet the minimum work experience requirement.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with data visualization software (e.g., PBI).
  • Ability to work remotely and on own initiative.
  • Comfortable with manipulating and studying images using specific FLIR tools and research lab application.
  • Effective project management skills, including the development of project plans and achievement of key milestones.
  • Understanding of networking and geofencing.
  • Proficient in Linux, Python,MS Azure, MS PBI .
  • Knowledge of statistical measurement methodology.
EDUCATION
  • Degree level or higher.
Special Requirements
  • Although servicing the Canadian market, the role can be based anywhere geographically in Canada.
  • The role is primarily remote but requires occasional travel within Canada.
  • Bilingual: English, French is an advantage.
