What You’ll Be Doing


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Open Source Threat Monitoring, the Analyst, Open Source Threat Monitoring is responsible for operational and strategic level information and intelligence collection, analysis, and production. This effort is geared predominantly towards open-source intelligence (OSINT) collection and managing phishing targeting CIBC clients, and is intended to lead the day-to-day remediation of phishing domains. The analyst is responsible for discerning trends in the broader phishing threat landscape in order to strengthen intelligence assessments and provide recommendations to end-users. The analyst leverages knowledge and experience with intelligence methodologies to advance the Fusion Threat Intelligence program and deliver best in class intelligence products.

How You’ll Succeed


  • Relationship Building – Develop and manage relationships with management and business leaders, including providing knowledge of intelligence best practices, and advanced open source collection and analysis techniques.
  • Strategic Thinking Approach – Provide support to Fusion Centre management, team members and peers as required to support delivery of Fusion programs.
  • Intelligence Cycle Knowledge – Provide specialized advice, consultation, and analysis on intelligence issues and trends relating to Information Security, Fraud, Corporate Security, and Fusion. This includes incidents, investigations and other Fusion use cases leveraging open sources. Complete operational and strategic level analysis that captures analytical insights and produces concise intelligence products meeting consumer needs and ensuring a high standard.
  • Support to Key Stakeholders – Support complex issues and incidents as an intelligence practitioner with an emphasis on open source intelligence. Identify potential issues that pose risk to CIBC, take action and contribute to event management to resolve as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Leadership and Team Player – Contribute to the development of the open source threat monitoring capability within the Fusion Threat Intelligence team.
