Position: Community Relationship Specialist (Sales)
Reports to: General Manager
The Opportunity: Reporting to the General Manager, the Community Relationship Specialist is the key leader in driving sales onsite, to meet and exceed occupancy targets. This role will focus on developing and executing strategic plans to maximize profitability and occupancy, along with forming and maintaining positive community outreach initiatives through various outlets, including hospitals, social workers, and other healthcare providers. The desired candidate is an enterprising, self motivated Sales Professional with a drive for results, who has a genuine interest in enriching the lives of seniors.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the marketing team with the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to attract prospects and referral sources.
- Effectively manage the end-to-end sales process to effectively close strong leads, maximize the number of leads that become residents and consistently meeting sales goals of maintaining full occupancy.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Keep abreast of relevant market trends and target customer information to maximize sales revenue.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the annual marketing budget.
- Ensure model suites and/or show rooms are in proper order and always ready for tours.
- Promptly follow-up on all visits and inquiries.
- Maintain Metta Lifestyles’ high standards of superior customer service while building and maintaining strong relationships with the local community, current and prospective residents and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate a smooth transition for new residents by delegating or coordinating move-ins and communicating key move-in information to team.
- Perform competitive analysis, including monitoring market competition and territory conditions.
- Coordinate all outreach events including trade shows, community seminars, sponsorship and other special events in order to maximize growth and sales potential.
Education & Qualifications:
- Experience with successful occupancy of a new development property an asset.
- Experience in Dementia Care is an asset.
- Minimum two years of experience and proven track record in achieving / exceeding targets will be given preference.
- Computer literate with knowledge of related software programs such as Microsoft Office.
- Solid knowledge of digital and social media tools/technologies and experience utilizing these within a business environment.
- Effective presentation and interpersonal skills with clear, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to network, multi-task and promote services.
- Business Degree or Diploma with a major in Sales, Marketing, Communications and or Public Relations, or a background in a service industry- related position.
- Knowledge of the surrounding area and communities.
- Preference will be given to candidates with sales experience in the retirement living, healthcare, real estate, pharmaceutical, or hospitality related industries.
- Proven experience in prospecting and closing sales providing an excellent customer experience.
- Flexible hours (evenings, weekends) may sometimes be required.
- Must have valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and be able to travel within the Toronto area.
