From primary school to leading universities, Unity has equipped over 500,000 students and Educators with tools, resources, solutions, and communities to propel learning! We are currently seeking a Senior Community Manager to lead community management for our Educators and creators.
Are you ready to gain alignment and construct a roadmap that serves the greater developer community within Unity and beyond? This is an opportunity to have an impact in crafting a platform that will make the user experience smooth while solving hard problems. We value prior experience with game development, developer tools, and UX in a fast-growth company or a software startup. However, we are genuinely interested in thoughtful and hardworking people above all. Along with technical and project management skills, you’ll apply your interpersonal skills and work with various teams to bring new services to market.
The Unity creator community is nascent on the learn platform, primarily via comments. The goal is to re-engage with the learn.unity community using existing methods. The next step is devising a strategy for how to nurture and grow this community, most importantly the Learn Pathway graduates.
We have recently launched a global Ambassador program for the Educator community focused on scaling while providing regional support and increasing Educator outreach. We are looking for an experienced community professional who can manage the Ambassador program to take our Educator community to the next level of engagement and advocacy.
This role will work cross-functionally to keep our communities at the heart of what we do–from product development to marketing events. While also responsible for monitoring and analyzing community feedback and sentiment and identifying areas for improvement to ensure a positive user experience.
In the short term, we hope to see a deep understanding of our member base and a comprehensive community management strategy including the ongoing management of community ambassadors. You will also develop processes to track and analyze community feedback and iterate as needed to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our users.
In the long term, we would like to see scaling our ambassador program to provide greater levels of support to our Educator community, their students, and the broader creator community. You will identify and cultivate relationships with key community influencers who may become future ambassadors and work with our product teams to develop and launch new features that address community needs. Ensuring that all community management efforts are aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals.
You will report to our Senior Partner Marketing Manager. Your efforts will help drive the growth and success of Unity Education and the rest of the company, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of millions of Unity users around the world!
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own the Unity Education Ambassadors program to ensure its success in scaling real-time Educator community support and engagement across all regions, whilst also managing incentivization plans that compel Ambassadors and members to contribute and support the larger community of learners, teachers, trainers, professionals, and hobbyists.
  • Work with product, marketing and community teams for alignment, including launching new community programming for product and program releases.
  • Lead the community growth and engagement strategy for the existing Unity Educator communities across several platforms and for the nascent Unity creator community on the Learn.Unity.
  • Follow critical metrics, providing member feedback and key insights to relevant collaborators

  • Highly skilled at global customer/user community development, management and growth
  • Proficiency in using community platforms including Discord and Facebook Groups
  • Able to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment
