Who We Are
The Beedie Graduate Programs team is a close-knit high-performing team that manages the graduate programs for the Beedie School of Business. This includes the recruitment, admissions, program operations, and student services for nine programs, currently encompassing 750+ students (MBA programs, GDBA, MSc Finance). As a team, we competitively recruit graduate business students, determine which students would be the best fit for our programs, and then support students and faculty in a world-class experience. As a collaborative and supportive team, we work hard in an exciting and fast-changing industry, with a common passion for supporting the learning journey for others.
About the Role
Beedie School of Business graduate programs are beginning the exciting and important journey of a program portfolio review. With a committee of faculty and staff and the support of the full graduate programs team, the Project Manager, Graduate Programs, will lead the MBA Portfolio review process. This will include collecting, analyzing, summarizing, and drawing conclusions from internal and external data to support the committee’s decision-making. The project manager will be part of the MBA portfolio review committee and contribute to discussions and sub-committee work. This new position will also organize meetings and project plans to ensure the process moves forward at a fast pace and moves through all of the necessary internal and external committees and steps. The project manager will work closely with the graduate programs team to create and manage implementation plans to ensure the successful transition to the new structure.
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and resourceful team member that can build relationships internally and externally to move projects forward successfully. They will be quick, responsive, and committed to meeting deadlines. They will be collaborative and able to foster a collaborative process and team. They will be creative, think strategically, and have a solid knowledge of post-secondary environments, university governance, policies, and procedures. They will be willing to do a large variety of work and be a positive and supportive member of the team. They will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbally.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Education, Business, or relevant field, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Able to cognitively process a large volume of information and data and provide integrated summaries, recommendations, and creatively find necessary data and information.
- Excellent project management skills, both from a process perspective and a relationship perspective.
- Solid knowledge of post-secondary environments, university governance, policies, and procedures.
- Strong ability to develop and manage detailed plans for complex projects.
- Resourceful in sourcing the necessary information and navigating internal and external approval processes.
- Excellent knowledge of research and statistical methods and analyses.
