We are looking for an individual in the Scarborough area or within Markham, Pickering and Ajax. This Person will build and develop a portfolio of mid-market clients in various industries in Scarborough. In this position, you will create business financing opportunities for them, as well as collaborate with the BDC Advisory Services teams to offer tailored solutions in order to support their growth.

What You Will Be Expected To Accomplish

• Create and deploy a marketing plan aligned with your business center's strategy, which focuses on the growth of your portfolio and the retention of your existing clients.
• Review and present high quality lending proposals.
• Promote and close advisory services mandates tailored to challenges faced by mid-market entrepreneurs.
• Source client leads and referrals that will facilitate new client acquisition and make cold calls to local mid-market clients on a daily basis.
• Organize and participate in networking events and establish and maintain business relationships.

What You Need To Succeed In This Role

• 2 to 3 years of experience in sales, in business development, or in a similar role.
• An existing network of influence in the Scarborough area.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, in accounting, or in business administration (or the equivalent).
• Skills in financial analysis and business lending.
• Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
