Clinical Trainer Jobs

On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking multiple Clinical Trainers for a one (1) year engagement based in Surrey, British Columbia. This client is pleased to offer a remote work model for this role, with travel being required at times during the project to support the training model.

Clinical Trainer

• Cross-train and utilize a train-the-trainer approach for operational Clinical Information Specialists (and other staff) to bring them up to speed with the processes and workflows in MEDITECH Expanse, in order to support readiness for sustainment long term.
• Utilize health information system and adult education best practices in the delivery of education content
• Aid in optimization of learning content for sustainment (optimization of in classroom content, Just in time training, and e-learns, including potentially introducing new modalities)
• Ability to apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create engaging and effective training materials.
• Updating materials developed for the Hospital to reflect lessons learned, build and workflow changes in MEDITECH Expanse, and helping to align curriculums to future workflows for next implementation sites, including additional hospitals and other early adopter sites.
• Ability to manage resources, track progress, and adapt training strategies as per project requirements.
• Train an interdisciplinary team of nursing, allied health, physicians, and unit clerks
• Ability to address resistance, manage expectations, and promote the benefits and value of the MEDITECH Expanse implementation.
• Develop and deliver training programs, specifically related to healthcare information systems and clinical operations.

Clinical Trainer Mandatory Skills

• Future site implementations and our operational training strategy will look to leverage the deliverables resulting from this engagement. Our client notes that retention of intellectual property and ownership of editable artifacts is a requirement.
• Ability to navigate the system, perform tasks, and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Skills in project planning, coordination, and execution to ensure timely delivery of training initiatives aligned with the implementation schedule.
• Experience in BC Healthcare would be a strong asset
• Experience in large, multi-stakeholder organizations
• Experience with large-scale clinical transformation and/or clinical information system implementation

Clinical Trainer Nice-To-Have Skills

• In-depth knowledge and proficiency in working with the MEDITECH Expanse system, including its functionalities, workflows, and modules relevant to clinical operations.
• Understanding of change management principles and strategies to support staff and clinicians through the transition to the new system.

Clinical Trainer Assignment Length

One (1) year contract with the potential for two (2) extensions of six (6) months each.

Head- office located in Surrey, British Columbia. While consultants may work remotely, as the project develops there may be the need to deliver training in person. This role is open to consultant’s in Canada and USA who are legally eligible to work in Canada and can commit to working PST/PDT hours.
