Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW


Tripoint Insurance Underwriting Inc. is hiring for a Client Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting underwriters/ underwriter Assistants with a variety of tasks including account file maintenance, processing of insurance documentation, bordereaux completion, etc. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to learn the basics of Underwriting and progress to more challenging roles in Underwriting later. We are looking for someone who enjoys administrative aspects, data entry, has good computer/typing skills and is a quick learner. Most importantly someone who has a desire for Insurance on the Underwriting side of the business!


RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Provide support to the Underwriter(s)/ Underwriter Assistants as needed and as back up to the Underwriter Assistant when necessary

·New business Triage Construction/Commercial Lines-set up in EPIC.

·Issue extensions/endorsements/cancellations

·Attach ALL Underwriters' correspondence

·Issuance of endorsement documents

·Invoicing of endorsement documents

·Completion of monthly bordereaux for various contracts (extensions)

·Provide Exceptional customer Service with respect to response time, product accuracy and collaborative communication

·Additional Duties may be assigned


REQUIREMENTS:

•Minimum 1 years of commercial insurance experience.

•Insurance Program Graduate ideal.

•Preferable experience within the insurance industry.

•Working towards R.I.B.O. C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. designation

•Superb interpersonal skills and attention to detail

•Ability to be a self starter with strong written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills

•Excellent interpersonal/ relationship building skills and is team-oriented

•Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and insurance software (TAM/Policy Works)
