  • Working with Cine Design Lead to establish different workflows based of project needs
  • Department documentation of workflow(s)
  • Communicate and work closely with the Cinematic Director and Level Designers to translate narrative scenes into cinematics and to balance story with gameplay;
  • Analyze script/storyboards to make the cinematic work in the game engine (Unique process for both runtime, prerender, and procedural)
  • Develop visual scripting cinematic workflows with Cinematic Designers and Level Designers for a smooth transition between gameplay and cinematics
  • Narrative scenes include traditional cinematics, procedural cinematics, and scripted events
  • Share knowledge and collaborate with technical Leads in order to improve the quality of the tools;
  • Validate the cinematics to ensure that the integrations did not cause any conflicts with the rest of the game;
  • Perform any other related tasks.
  • Follow and maintain pipelines and technical requirements;
  • Balance quality with efficiency when working under tight deadlines;


Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of cinematography and acting;
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work with people from other fields of expertise;
  • Experience in game engine/editors;
  • Aware of new technologies and processes related to the industry.
  • Experience working in the video games or films industry as a Layout Artist, Technical Artist, Level Designer, Camera Artist, Designer, or any other similar job a plus;
  • Knowledge of visual or nodal scripting or related (an asset);
  • Basic understanding of narrative causality and logic;
  • Excellent communication skills and abilities to work efficiently within a team;
  • Well Organized;
  • Quick to adapt to company proprietary software.
