OneSoft Solutions Inc. is publicly traded (TSX-V: OSS) with offices in Edmonton and has employees working from remote home offices throughout Canada and the U.S.A.We are currently searching for an experienced CFO who has experience in a publicly traded company.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESStrategy, Planning and ManagementThe Chief Financial Officer is a strategic business partner to the senior executive leadership team.Assess and evaluate financial performance of the organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts. Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.Identify, acquire and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information. Evaluate company operations and make suggestions for automating processes and increasing working efficiency.Communicate, engage and interact internally with Board of Directors, CEO, COO and Executive Leadership Team and externally with auditors, legal counsel, bankers and investment professionals.Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company’s plan for growth and expansion.Select and engage consultants, auditors and other outside resources as required.Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models.Implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by senior leadership team.Financial Analysis, Budgeting and ForecastingDevelop and execute annual budgeting process including assisting in creation and measurement of KPI’s and regular updates thereto during the fiscal year as required. Prepare and present monthly Flash Report which includes financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss, forecast vs. budget and monthly cash flow analysisReview and analyze financial results and provide recommendations.Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives and/or new product and service offerings.Participate in conference calls with Executive Leadership Team and Vendors and Customers as required. Accounting, General Ledger, Administration and OperationsSupervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems and financial software. Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures and assist with SOC-2 compliancy.Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all financial and management reporting data and reports. Oversee the preparation and communication of quarterly and annual financial statements, MD&A and other publicly filed disclosure documents.Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all state, provincial and federal tax returns.Work with Human Resources to ensure payroll processes are on-time, employee benefits package is maintained and company complies with all legal requirements.Review all month-end and quarter-end closing activities including all general ledger accounts and cost allocations.Hire, develop and manage accounting staffServe as a key point of contact for external auditors. Manage preparation and support of all external audits.Work effectively with Operations and Sales DepartmentsReview all draft sales contracts and ensure they can be effectively administered and will comply with financial standards for revenue recognition. Work with Controller to ensure all revenue transactions are invoiced monthly Work with Sales staff on the renewal of all customer contracts. Assist in maintaining a library of legal documents that can be used in selling, contracting and other operational functions. Work with departmental managers and assist with human resource functions such as recruitment and maintain Employee Handbook with policies appropriate to guide, motivate and retain staff including maintenance of Company Stock Option program. Financial ManagementManage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability.Oversee cash, investments and asset management area.Explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks.Maintain banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners.Financial Relations and PoliciesEngage finance committee and/or board of directors to develop short term and long term plans, projections and budgets.Remain current on state, federal and local laws regarding company operations.Cash ManagementOversee weekly cash management and AP Department, approve large payables, sign checks, authorize large wires and ACHsSupervise Accounts Receivable management and collect all Accounts Receivable. Position RequirementsCPA designation Required6 years experience as a CFO in a publicly traded corporation is desirable.10+ years total accounting or finance experience is desirable.High level of knowledge and understanding of GAAP, IFRS and Canadian Securities National Instruments and TSX Venture Issuer policies.Background coordinating with I.T. staff to manage and/or upgrade accounting system. Systems implementation experience strongly preferred.“Hands On” ERP Systems Experience – Dynamics NAV, Business Central, JD Edwards or PeopleSoft experience preferredExceptional communication and presentation skills.Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to motivate staff and collaborate with teams and individuals at all levelsExcellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skillsSignificant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues.public
