Chief Compliance Officer Jobs

The Role:

As the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) in our company based in the Czech Republic, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all compliance-related activities. We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and must have relevant qualifications in compliance and regulatory affairs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program in line with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Stay up to date with changes in regulations and industry trends, providing guidance and recommendations to senior management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and responding to inquiries or investigations.
• The applicant must have gained 12 months of relevant securities industry experience in the 35-month period before applying for this role.
• Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• The applicant must have passed the Exempt Market Products Exam or the Canadian Securities Course Exam or must have passed the PDO Exam or the Chief Compliance Officers Qualifying Exam in the 35-month period before applying for this role. if the applicant passed the examination more than 35 months before the date of his or her application but was registered in the same category in any jurisdiction of Canada at any time during the 36- month period before the date of his or her application will also be eligible for this role.
• Foster a culture of compliance, ethics, and integrity throughout the organization.
• Design and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.
• Establish and maintain effective compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Must be willing to establish relationships with Banks, Financial Institutions and Payment Processors in the EU.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including data protection, privacy laws, anti-money laundering (AML), and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
• As the company is making an application with Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) as a restricted Dealer so the applicant must have the required qualifications and experience in order to qualify as a CCO as per ASC’s requirements.

Requirements:

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control systems.
• Relevant courses or certifications in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a CCO or in a senior compliance leadership position.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Czech languages.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and address complex compliance issues.
